On 1st July every year Doctors’ Day is celebrated as a mark of remembrance towards the legendary stalwart Dr. B.C Roy. 1st July being the birth & death Anniversary of the late medical luminary Dr. B.C. Roy, reminds us of his exemplary dedicated services to the humanity. Hon’ble Union HRD Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the DMA Doctors Days Progrmme at MAMC auditorium on the eve of Doctors Day along ith. Dr. R.K. Srivastava, Chairman, BOG, MCI Justice Anil R. Dave, Hon’ble Judge, Supreme Court, along with, Dr. Vinay Aggarwal, CIMMAO IMA, Dr. Narendra Saini, Hony. Secretary, General, IMA were the other distinguished dignitaries present on the occasion. Souvenir on Doctors Day was also released on this occasion. On this occasion Delhi Medical Association honoured with Vashist Chikitsa Ratan Award to Senior members from medical field for their outstanding contribution towards the medical profession and in the service society includes, Padma Vibhushan Dr. S. Padmawati, Padmabhushan Dr. S.K. Sarin, Dr. S.Y. Kothai, Padamshri Dr. J.M. Hans , Dr. N.V. Kamat, DHS, Dr. M.C. Misra, Chief APEX Trauma, Dr. Anupam Sibal, Group Director, Apollo, Dr. Kashma Metre, Dr. S.R. Chauhan, Dr. Upreet Dhaliwal, Dr. Atul Murari, Dr. H.R. Kar, Dr. B.D. Athani, Dr. Praneet Kumar, Dr. Manoj Singh, Dr. Rajeev Sood, Dr. Brahm Prakash, Dr. Sunil Khanna, Dr. Mahesh Verma, Dr. Harish Gupta, Dr. Lalit Kumar, , Dr. A.B. In his address the Chief Guest Mr. Kapil Sibal congratulated the doctors on the occasion of Doctors Day. He complimented the missionary services rendered by the medical profession to the society and inspired the medical fraternity present on the occasion to strive for compassionate healthcare especially to the poor public of the country. Dr. R.K. Srivastava highlighted the various public welfare programmes being run by the Delhi Govt. to give better health care to the residents of Delhi. Sh. Anil Dave congratulated the doctors who were honored for their dedicated services rendered to the humanity. Dr. Anil Agarwal, President, DMA said that our doctors are making the nation proud with their outstanding and dedicated medical services as Delhi is becoming the hub of medical excellence for the nation and whole world. He complimented the doctors for their academic achievements in the medical field alongwith their zeal to serve the humanity. Dr. Anil Goyal Chairman Doctors Day, while felicitating the various medical luminaries, said that as doctors are the role model of the society, they should practice keeping medical ethics and not to indulge in any practice which effect the image of the medical profession. Dr. K.K. Kohli , Hony. State Secretary, DMA highlighted the various blood donations camps, health checkup camps and other public welfare programmers being launched on Doctors Day by Delhi Medical Association.
