The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, an autonomous organization with the Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with Indian Council for Cultural Relations organized a Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira ‘’Sadhbhavana Ke Swar’ on the evening of 26th June, 2013,at Azad Bhawan Auditorium I.P. Estate, New Delhi. The programme was graced by Shri K.Skandan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs who appreciated activities being undertaken by the Foundation for promoting communal harmony and strengthening national integration. He advised the Foundation to carry on such activities in different parts of the country so that this message is received and adopted by large segments of population. Shri Ashok Sajjanhar, Secretary of the Foundation briefed the audience about its objectives and the financial assistance being provided to the children affected by communal, caste, terrorist and societal violence for their care, education and rehabilitation. He sought cooperation and partnership of people from all walks of life in further carrying out the vision and mission of the Foundation. The programme was attended by various distinguished and eminent personalities like Ambassadors, Heads of Institute, NGOs, Think Tanks, Civil Society groups and others. 26th June, 2013 at Azad Bhawan Auditorium I.P. Estate, New Delhi. Sadhbhavana Ke Swar is an untiring attempt to disseminate the message of communal harmony and national integration. 10 eminent Hindi and Urdu Poets participated in the programme. They regaled the audience with their creative compositions. The recitation to the packed hall was generously and Continuously applauded. The event was inspiring and motivating. This attempt by the Foundation will go a long way in promoting peace and communal harmony amongst the diverse religious, ethnic and communal segments of our society.
